We have an automatic online cost estimator that you can use to generate a cost estimate for your kitchen, all you need to do is upload your IKEA design.

Step 1
Design your kitchen with IKEA

You need an IKEA design to get a cost estimate from MODOCO.

You can design this yourself using the online IKEA self-planner or else book a free appointment with IKEA staff in-store or online.

Keep the doors and drawers on your IKEA design, they can be removed later before you place your order with IKEA.

Bespoke items

MODOCO offer non-standard sized doors, gables and cover panels. Everything is made bespoke in our workshop so we can facilitate most requests. At this early stage it is best to include the nearest size door or gable in your IKEA design and any adjustment can be taken care of later.

No IKEA design?

If you don't have a design from IKEA, you can still see how much a Modoco kitchen typically costs. We have example kitchens and prices here

Step 2
Upload your IKEA design

With your IKEA design in hand you can use the MODOCO online cost estimator. Just click the link below for access. You will need a PDF of your IKEA 'Item List' to use it.

There are two ways to get your 'item list':

1. By email from IKEA

Following your design consultation with IKEA, they will send this document directly to your email.

2. Manually downloading from IKEA Kitchen Planner

- Log on to the IKEA planner

- Go to the top left of the screen and click - “make it yours”

- Click the ‘Item list’ on the top right – the icon looks like a checkboard

- The ‘Item List’ opens as a pop-up window and you can click print on the bottom left

- Save as PDF

Note: The IKEA 'Shopping List' will not work if uploaded.

Once uploaded MODOCO will provide an instant, free and no-obligation cost estimate with various material and handle options.

Step 3
Place your order

Once you have received your cost estimate and are ready to proceed with your order you can email MODOCO with the below information:

1. The cost estimate that was emailed to you by MODOCO

2. Your choice of material and handle type

3. Your IKEA planner as a PDF and a link to your IKEA online planner.

We will then check the initial quotation and if all is in order send you invoice for a deposit of 15%. This deposit is non-refundable as it covers time spent by MODOCO on the next stage of work in Step 4.

Step 4
Design review and approval

Once the deposit is paid MODOCO will begin the drawing, review and approval process.

1. We undertake a detailed review of your order and draft a fabrication drawing of your kitchen which will then be sent to you. It shows the layout of the kitchen, all door sizes, materials, handle locations, door swings, worktops etc.

2. You can comment on the drawing and changes will be made until we reach a point where everything is agreed. Once the final design is signed off by you and any cost adjustments have been made, we will issue aninvoice for the balance of the cost - this is the final payment.

3. On receipt of final payment, the materials are ordered, we send your drawings to the workshop for production, and the processing begins.

Our lead time starts from when the ‘final payment’ is received.
